So many great action shots for our sledding fun, it was hard to whittle it down to the ones to be used. This layout highlights a lot of the fun we had that day.
This layout started with finding the inspiration on Pinterest, obviously my go to place for inspiration. Paisely and Polkadots once again had what I was looking for. This layout was perfect for using up some of my scraps.
To get the torn notebook edge I used my sitter binder to punch binding holes and then torn and distressed the edge to look as if it had been torn out of a notebook. I edged the top and bottom of the dictionary style paper with a Martha Stewart scalloped edge punch. I am not sure where that paper came from, but the rest of the pattern paper is from Basic Grey Friut Cake collection.
The embellishments above include a tag from the collection, a circle cut out of the paper with the Fiskars circle cutter, a pocket hand cut and accented with a brown Sharpie, a button from my collection, a crochet flower from The Paper Studio, and a rub on from Fancy Pants Happy Holiday.
The tickets throughout the layout come from Tim Holtz Adage Tickets. The tag is inked with Colorbox ink. There is another crochet flower from The Paper Studio.
Nothing is better than capture the joy and wonder of your children. I love this about this layout in particular. The kids had a blast sledding on this day. Many hours and pictures later the day was mostly a success.
After sorting through the litteral stack of photos from sledding, I picked out photos that captured the kids perfectly at that moment in time. After picking out the pick turns it is time to browse my Pinterest boards. I found inspiration from Paisely and Polkadots and the layout can be found on my scraplifted board. Next is raiding the stash. My Basic Grey Figgy Pudding collection packet was perfect. I also raided my project life card stash (not sure where these came from, The Paper Studio bling snowflakes, silver glitter ribbon from American Crafts, red glitter ric-rak ribbon (not sure where it came from), silver glitter lettering (not sure who made this), and Kiwi Lane scalloped template. Below are close ups of different page elements.
