This scrapbook layout focuses on one of the many little things that make life more enjoyable. My two little peanuts definitely take a huge part of the most important part of my heart and joy. This page captures the sweet joy that can come from the moments of kids spending time together and actually enjoying it. Let’s face it, sometimes it is a miracle to get the camera out and capture these moments, because they can be so fleeting. This can be especially true for my two being so close in age.
The inspiration for this page comes from Simple Stories. I also have the sketch saved on my Pinterest board scraplifted. Here is a look at the finished products.
On the first page, Ichoose a couple photos of each kid that I felt highlighted their personality. I then backed each photo with white cardstock and gave each picture a minimal boarder. The background paper came from a Basic Grey kit for their Lime Ricky line. I then found a sparkly like green cardstock in my stash. The boarder sticker, flower sticker and letter also came from the Lime RicKy kit.
On the second page I started with plain white cardstock and payed out the for pictures. I the looked in my project life stash to find coordinating Project life cards. Unfortunately, I have my project life cards sorted by color and can’t remember which company made which project life cards. I needed a yellow accent and couldn’t find one I liked in my cards, so I dug into my scrap pile. I found this great yellow paper with blue distressing. I then cut it down to size and the rounded the corners with my Creative Memories corner rounder.
Here is the slightly different version for my sons album. The org background, boarder sticker, and lettering come from the Basic Grey Lime Ricky Kit again. I used the rest of the sparkle green cardstock. I then found some left over stars (used from another layout) that were cut out with my Cricut. I raided my promise to life stash and added a ribbon embellishment on the the top right card.
